This article seems to me to take exactly the right approach. "No" is not a sustainable answer for all time, to all proposals. For the good of the city and the area, something needs to go into Potomac Yard. We need good ideas. I hope they come pouring forth!

Yes! The sooner the citizens of Alexandria weigh in on what they want the better, and the more likely they will get something worthwhile. I can report that our local art center is used year-round with performance space as well as creative space for kids and adults. It has been a real benefit to the community with summer music performances, school musicals, arts camps, etc. Local restaurants also have benefited from pre-show demand, food trucks, etc. The arts center also has significant green space and connects to a part of a greenway trail system. It is well used and well loved. Not taking action would be a shame. https://www.wilson-center.com/
